We visited Prague last Summer. The time it took place was not ideal, though.

We had just come back from our very first trip to the fells of Lapland. One should never take a city vacation right after such a spectacle but we were young and stupid.

In the end, the trip was nice, especially the parks. We found secret gardens right next to bustling city streets, which would’ve gone unnoticed had we not stumbled upon them by accident.

Petrin Hill was quiet and serene in the soft rain. The green was even greener up close and birdsong filled the air. We didn’t ascend the high tower but instead took the footpaths that snaked down the hill. We almost skipped the Prague Castle altogether. But it was too big of a landmark to miss.

But we preferred the park.
