What incredible luck we had to be in the Hannukuru wilderness hut when the Summer storm hit the North.

We spent a few days in Hannukuru and although the initial idea was to top the Outtakka fell (since it’s one of the Struve measurement points and we love those) but we just dug deeper into our blankets and pillows after we saw the sleet outside. We were not going anywhere in that storm.

It’s only a matter of proper attire but the view wouldn’t have been much to look at, I think. And our feet were grateful for a few day’s rest.
