On June 17th (Finnish Nature Day) we celebrated not only falling in love with summer nights but also wild flower day, the Sunday preceding Midsummer’s Eve.

Our wild flower day consisted of a trip to Pallas, departure from the Visitor Center at 9 PM. The atmosphere was, in a word, magical.

We got to know fell vegetation by hiking an hour from Pallas Hotel to Pallas Hut, taking the long way around up a fell or two. Guiding us were Metsähallitus regional manager Päivi Paalamo and nation park guide Paula Sieppi.

We discovered so many nice flowers and plants.

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend this day. Thank you so much!
